Electrical Strength and Insulation Electrical Testing
The safety standards include several electrical requirements that are assessed by performing the following tests:
- Resistance of earthing conductors and their terminations: 1 mW to 1.5W, test current from 5 to 30 Arms.
- Touch or leakage current of three-phase and single-phase equipment. Current from 0.02 to 20 mA. Maximum power 3500 VA. Standards IEC/EN 60950-1, IEC/EN 60215:1989, IEC/EN 61010-1, IEC/EN 60255-5, 50124-1.
- Electric strength test: up to 5000 Vac (50 Hz) and 6000 Vdc.
- Insulation test: 50 KW to 200 GW (100, 250 , 500, 1000 Vdc).
- Power factor measurement: three-phase and single-phase equipment.
