ALTER TECHNOLOGY announced today that it has agreed to acquire the British organization OPTOCAP Ltd., a highly reputed company in the field of optoelectronics, microelectronics and MEMS packaging design and assembly services.
OPTOCAP will become an integral part of ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD which represents the Aerospace Business Unit in the multinational engineering TUV NORD GROUP.

With the addition of OPTOCAP, the ALTER TECHNOLOGY Group consists now of four companies (ALTER TECHNOLOGY in Spain, HIREX ENGINEERING in France, OPTOCAP Ltd. in Scotland – UK, and TOP REL Srl. in Italy), and more than 200 employees, mainly BSc and PhD. in Electronics and Physics, as well as technical experts in semiconductors and optoelectronics.
